Humor Vítreo is an audiovisual performance based on the work Strata from Deanna Sirlin.
In Humor Vítreo, visual data from 22 stained glass
panels becomes a live sonic composition. Self-made, custom-designed software interprets visual elements like colour,
opacity, and shape, converting them into sound. Simultaneously, musicians interpret the same visual data, using their own instruments and electronics. The software then reverses the process of translation - this results in the creation of a 23rd digital ‘stained glass’ panel derived from the performance material.
